IRCTC Reports Impressive 30% Year-on-Year Surge in Q2 Net Profit, Reaches Rs 295 Crore

New Delhi, Nov 7: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) on Tuesday reported 30.36% year-on-year rise in net profit at Rs 294.67 crore for July-September quarter (Q2) of the current financial year 2023-24.

The rail ticketing company had posted Rs 226.03 crore profit in the corresponding period of 2022-23.

IRCTC’s revenue from operations in Q2 grew 23.51% to Rs 995.31 crore as against Rs 805.80 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

The company board declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share on equity shares of face value of Rs 2 each for financial year 2023-24. The board fixed November 17, 2023 as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.

Shares of IRCTC closed 1.41% higher at Rs 680.85 a piece on the BSE today.
