India’s first High-Tech Mobile Clinic on Wheels Inaugurated

Pune, Oct 23: In a significant step towards bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of the community, ‘Aarogyam,’ India’s first High-Tech Mobile Clinic on Wheels, was inaugurated at the ‘Apla-Ghar’ NGO in Golewada, Donje, Pune. The well-equipped clinic van, supported by T-Systems, is an initiative of the Late Vaibhav Phalnikar Memorial Foundation and is scheduled to commence its services from November 1, 2023, covering a radius of 25 km from the ‘Apla Ghar’ NGO.

The unveiling ceremony saw the presence of renowned personalities, including actress Jaya Prada, theater and film artist Bharat Jadhav, industrialist Chandrashekhar D. Sheth, Director and Producer Mahesh Tilekar, and executives from T-Systems. Founders of ‘Apla Ghar,’ Vijay and Sadhana Phalnikar, were also among the dignitaries.

The state-of-the-art ‘Aarogyam’ mobile clinic offers a range of services, including dental check-ups and treatment, eye examinations and treatment, Breast Cancer Screening, Oral Cancer Screening, general check-ups, blood sample collection, dental X-Ray, chemical toilet, Wi-Fi system, and CCTV camera.

Bharat Jadhav commended the Phalnikar couple for their commitment to societal well-being and likened them to ‘Vitthal’ and ‘Rukmini.’ He emphasized the positive atmosphere at the facility, where patients receive prompt care due to the dedication of the medical staff. Jadhav pledged support by offering 10 theater play tickets to ‘Apla Ghar’ children for every play he performs.

Jaya Prada lauded the Phalnikar couple’s journey and the establishment of ‘Apla Ghar.’ She expressed support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of addressing health issues, particularly those faced by women like Breast Cancer. Prada commended the strides taken towards India’s first High-Tech Mobile Clinic on Wheels.

Chandrashekhar D. Sheth acknowledged his involvement in social causes and praised Vijay Phalnikar’s qualities. He echoed Bharat Jadhav’s sentiments, recognizing the Phalnikar couple as embodiments of ‘Vitthal’ and ‘Rukmini.’
