Food processing sector in India

Mumbai, Sep 7 ,India’s food processing sector is aiming to double its GDP contribution from 8% to 20% by 2030, Union Minister of State, Food Processing Industries Prahlad Singh Patel said here on Thursday.
Patel said International FoodTec India, co-located with ANUFOOD India and PackEx India is the representation of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
The Government of India has allocated Rs. 4600 crores to sustain Pradhan mantri krishi sanchayini yojana PMKS and over 40,000 visitors expected from across India and beyond.
Over 800 companies from over 28 countries are participating, a release issued here stated today.
