India Successfully Test-Fires 'Pralay' Short-Range Ballistic Missile with 350–500 km Range

New Delhi, Nov 7: India on Tuesday carried out a successful test-firing of the short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile (SRBM) ‘Pralay’.

Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the missile has a range of 350–500 kms with a payload capacity of 500–1,000 kgs.

The test-firing was carried out from Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast at around 9.50 am, and it met all its mission objectives, officials said.

A battery of tracking instruments monitored its trajectory along the coastline, they added.
