Shimla, Oct 17: Himachal Pradesh High Court heard the arguments of petitioners in the Chief Parliamentary Secretaries appointment case on Monday and deferred the matter till November 4 to allow the respondent state to put forth its argument.
The division bench of Vivek Singh Thakur and Justice Bipen Negi heard the arguments of petioners and Senior advocate Satpal Jain who representing 12 BJP MLAs, challenged the appointment of six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries by the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Government last year.
The court deferred the hearing till November 4 at the request of the defence. The respondent state government sought some time to argue the matter.
Earlier, during the hearing, the petitioners presented various judgements of the High Court and Supreme Court which have termed the appointment of CPS against constitutional provision
