Dharamshala, Dec 8 – Himachal Pradesh Tourism Corporation Chairman RS Bali said on Thursday the state government will take effective steps to promote tea tourism and a necessary action plan will be prepared towards that end.
After listening to the people’s problems, Bali said there is immense potential for tourism in Himachal. He further said that the government is developing tourism infrastructure to expand adventure, religious, and eco-tourism.
He said that district Kangra is being developed as the tourism capital of Himachal and a Rs 3 thousand crore plan has been prepared for the project.
He said special emphasis is being laid on setting up heliports in all the districts.
He said soon an integrated project of agriculture and fisheries departments will be started in the state under the start-up scheme, which will help provide self-employment opportunities to the people in this sector.
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start-up Scheme, Rs 680 crore will be provided as a subsidy to the local youth to make them self-reliant and provide them self-employment opportunities.
He said that the present government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is ensuring the overall development of all areas and effective steps are also being taken to quickly resolve the problems of the people.
