Pune, Oct 27: Former Union minister Babanrao Dhakne died of heart attack in a private hospital in Ahmednagar district on Friday.
He was not keeping well from last few days and was admitted to the private hospital, where he died this afternoon due to heart failure, said sources in hospital.
Dhakne was the Minister of State in the ministry of former prime minister Chandrasekhar.
He also held various responsibilities in Janata Dal, Congress and NCP.
The last rites will be performed on Saturday at Pagori-Pimpalgaon in Pathurdi taluka of Ahmednagar district.
