Kolhapur, Nov 22 – Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan extended felicitations to MLC Satej Patil on Tuesday for his commendable efforts in implementing the direct pipeline scheme, bringing drinking water to the city.
During the felicitation ceremony, Chavan emphasized the significance of water for the development of any city. He expressed optimism that Kolhapur’s industrial sector would experience rapid growth with the availability of clean and abundant water.
Presiding over the event was Shreemant Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur.
Although the direct pipeline project was completed on Diwali day, its official inauguration is awaited, which will be conducted by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde soon.
