Kolhapur, Dec 9 – A bike rider died on the spot when a speedy truck hit the bike at Top-Shiye Phata on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway on Friday morning.
Local police said, over the decades, Satish Pandurang Gavade (47), was going for a job, a speedy truck vigorously hit his bike from behind, killing him on the spot.
Satish and his bike were severely dragged by about twenty feet due to the severe speed of the accident.
A truck driver was booked, and further investigation was underway, police added.
