Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nov 4 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has approved compensation of Rs 32 lakh for 441 farmers who faced substantial losses after offering their farmlands for activist Manoj Jarange-Patil’s public rally in Antarwali Sarati village, Ambad taluka, on October 14, advocating for Maratha community reservation.

The official press release on Friday stated that the Maratha reservation movement has reached a decisive stage, with Jarange-Patil withdrawing his fast agitation on Thursday. The Maratha community expressed satisfaction with the government’s commitment to provide reservation within a specified timeframe.

In recognition of Jarange-Patil’s dedicated efforts and the community’s active participation, Chief Minister Shinde decided to compensate affected farmers, offering relief to the farming community in Jalna.
