Nagpur, Dec 9 – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday directed to concern officials to complete Jal Jeevan Mission on war footing to provide tap water to every home.
He was speaking during the review the revised administrative approval of schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission in Water Supply and Sanitation Department in the hall of Vidhan Bhavan.


Pawar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to provide tap water to everyone’s homes through the Central Government’s ‘Har Ghar, Nal Se Jal’ campaign.
The ongoing works under this campaign implemented under the Jal Jeevan Mission program should be completed at the mission level.


Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Gulabrao Patil, MLA Kiran Lahamte, MLA Devendra Bhuyar among all concern officials were present on the occasion.
Pawar further said the government is committed to provide clean drinking water to every family by connecting household taps. If there are any errors while preparing the detailed project report of this scheme, they should be rectified, and proposals should be submitted.
Also, action should be proposed against the officials and employees who keep errors. It was also suggested that a joint review should be conducted by the Finance, Planning and Water Supply Departments, added Pawar.
