Nagpur, Dec 19 – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday expressed deep sorrow over accident where a truck, a tempo and an autorickshaw collided head-on on Ahmednagar-Kalyan highway near Dingore village in Junnar taluka of Pune district, killing eight passengers.
He paid tributes to the dead passengers and expressed his condolences to the kins of deceased.
In a condolence message, the DyCM said that eight people lost their lives in an accident that took place on Sunday evening near Anjirachi Bagh in vicinity of Dingore village.
Following the accident, a team of Otur police went to the spot immediately and started rescue and relief work, he added.
Pawar made an appeal to the Traffic Police to be vigilant and ensure that the vehicle drivers strictly follow the safety rules to avoid such accidents.
