Hyderabad, Nov 3: After failing a poll pact with the Congress party, the Telangana state unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday released the 17-members first list for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Though given enough time to the Congress to finalise the candidates under the seat sharing, the party has failed to consider our requests, CPI (M) Telangana Secretary T Veerabhadram said here.
We have no option to go alone in the elections, he said the party had discussed different proposals from 24 constituencies but finalized 17 candidates in the first list.
The list of candidates announced for the constituencies are Bhadrachalam (ST), Aswaraopet (ST), Palair, Madhira (SC), Wyra (ST), Khammam, Sathupalli (SC), Miryalagudem, Nalgonda, Nakrekal (SC), Bhongir, Huzurnagar, Kodad, Jangaon, Ibrahimpatnam, Patancheru and Musheerabad.
