Madhya Pradesh, Nov 16: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress during the final day of campaigning for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. While canvassing for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in Panna, Ashok Nagar, and Bhopal, Yogi Adityanath asserted that had Congress been in power during the Covid era, the vaccine might not have been developed.

Addressing a gathering in support of BJP candidate Prahlad Lodhi in Powai, Yogi Adityanath criticized Congress, suggesting that they might have engaged in black marketeering of the vaccine if they were in power. He commended scientists for their work on the vaccine and contrasted it with Congress’s alleged involvement in black market activities.

Yogi Adityanath also highlighted the resilience of Prahlad Lodhi in the face of harassment by Congress, praising the development initiatives in Panna. He mentioned the establishment of industries like JK Cement and the discovery of a diamond mine, projecting them as significant contributors to employment opportunities in the region.

In Ashok Nagar, Yogi sought votes for candidates Jajpal Singh Jajji, Brijendra Singh Yadav, and Jagannath Singh Raghuvanshi. He continued his criticism of Congress, claiming that they would have black-marketed the vaccine, drawing parallels with their alleged activities related to cylinders.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the double-engine government, stating that the election is not just a political event but a strategic plan for accelerated development. He praised the quality of Madhya Pradesh’s wheat and proposed the installation of a 112-foot-high statue of Bajrang Bali in Ashok Nagar to eliminate ghosts, curfews, and disturbances.

In the Berasia assembly constituency, Yogi Adityanath questioned the lack of development initiatives for the poor during Congress’s long tenure. He accused Congress of engaging in appeasement politics and highlighted the positive changes brought about by the BJP government, including the absence of curfews during festivals.

Throughout his campaign speeches, Yogi Adityanath consistently criticized Congress, portraying the BJP as a party committed to development and good governance. The elections in Madhya Pradesh will determine the composition of the state’s 16th Vidhan Sabha, with voting scheduled for Friday and counting on December 3.
