Belagavi, Dec 12 – Reacting to JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy’s statement predicting the fall of the Congress Government, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said the BJP and the JDS are tossing up like a fish out of water.
“BJP and JDS are flapping like fish out of water. They have a pipe dream,” Siddaramaiah told reporters here when asked to comment on Kumaraswamy’s statement.
Kumaraswamy, on Sunday, had claimed that the Congress government in Karnataka may fall after the 2024 Lok Sabha election as a top Congress leader had held discussions with the central BJP leadership to join the saffron party along with 50 to 60 MLAs.
On RDPR Minister Priyank Kharge’s personal insistence on removing Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar’s portrait from the assembly, Siddaramaiah said the matter concerns the Speaker.
