Mumbai, Nov 22 – Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar paid tribute to the 107 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the creation of the state on Martyrs’ Memorial Day. They offered floral wreaths at the memorial site to honor the martyrs.
On this significant occasion, the Chief Minister introduced the concept of comprehensive development for the state, emphasizing the importance of November 21 for Maharashtra.
“This is the day to remember the sacrifices of the 107 martyrs of the Samyukta Maharashtra movement, who fought for a united Maharashtra, including Mumbai, for the Marathi-speaking people,” he stated, expressing a commitment to the all-round development of the state.
Present at the event were Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Assembly Speaker Advocate Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar, Mumbai City Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar, and Mumbai Suburban District Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
