Kakinada, Nov 17: A delegation of CITU led by city unit President Palivela Virababu and district treasurer Malaka Venkataramana on Thursday called on JNTUK Vice Chancellor Prof GVR Prasadaraju at his chambers here and appealed to him to regularize the services of the outsourcing staff working in various wings of the university.
They submitted a representation to the VC to regularize the outsourcing staff based on their seniority and thanked him for enhancing the wages and arrears to the outsourcing staff under the GO no 7.
The CITU leaders further urged the Vice Chancellor to grant time scale to outsourcing employees, pending regularization,providing of employment to one of the family members of the deceased employees on compassionate grounds and also extend due compensation and cremation charges .
The Vice Chancellor has reportedly assured them to refer the issue to the state government for favorable instructions.
