Chennai, Oct 31: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on Tuesday inaugurated the first phase of 1.3 million square feet International Technology Park set up by by Radial IT Park Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Capitalland Group (formerly Ascendas) of Singapore.
The IT park will provide employment to 50,000 IT professionals, an official release said.
The company plans to set up five million sq ft space Tech Park of which the first phase of 1.3 million sqft Park was inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the presence of Industries Minister TRB Raaja and Labour Minister T.M.Anbarasan.
In his address, Mr Stalin as part of the State government’s policy of promoting inclusive growth, it has
been setting up ini Tidel parks with a 50,000 sqft to 1,000 sqft soace in Villuppuram, Tiruppur, Vellore,
Thoothukudi, Thanjavur and Salem Districts and in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to create job opportunities
for the rural educated youth in their own districts.
He also said the government was taking serious efforts to set up a modern mini Tidel Park in Udhagamandalam.
Later, in a post on X, Mr Raaja said “We have all seen #Ascendas become a household name in Chennai as their International Tech Park at Taramani became not just an iconic office space but also
a cool spot to hangout for youngsters back in the 2000s.”
“Today, Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal inaugurated the International Tech Park at Radial Road, by @CapitalLand, formerly Ascendas”, he said.
Mr Raaja said “CapitaLand has been #TamilNadu’s trusted partner for two decades, powering our #KnowledgeEconomy and providing the #infrastructure for several #IT and #ITES companies.”

Mr Raaja said “in the past two years, under the leadership the Chief Minister, we have attracted some of the largest global organisations to our state for their offices, #GCC and #RnD centres, and we will see more companies choose Tamil Nadu ahead of the Tamil Nadu Global Investors’ Meet 2024.”
“Developments like the International Tech Park at Radial Road are crucial to the state meeting our investors’ rapidly growing high-quality office space demands”, he said.
