New Delhi, April 7, 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare the results of the Class 10 and 12 board examinations in May 2025, though an official date is yet to be confirmed. If the trend of previous years continues, students can expect the results to be announced around mid-May, similar to 2024 and 2023 when results were released on May 13 and May 12, respectively.

To successfully clear the examinations, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks both in aggregate and in each subject individually.

Continuing its recent policy, CBSE will not release any merit lists, divisions, or names of top performers. This approach, first introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic when assessments were largely internal or online, aims to ease pressure on students and promote a less competitive academic environment.

Once the results are declared, students who do not pass in one or more subjects will have the opportunity to appear for supplementary exams. Those dissatisfied with their marks will also be able to apply for re-evaluation or improvement exams as per the board’s guidelines.

This year, CBSE conducted the Class 10 examinations from February 15 to March 18, while Class 12 exams concluded on April 4. The board has maintained a consistent evaluation and result declaration timeline, providing students and schools with clarity on the academic schedule.

Further details, including the exact result date and application process for re-evaluation or supplementary exams, are expected to be announced soon on CBSE’s official website.
