CBI Arrests Delhi Police Head Constable and Private Person for Alleged Bribery

New Delhi, Dec 8 – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two persons, including a Delhi Police Head Constable (HC), posted at Police Station Parparganj and a private person for allegedly demanding bribe from a complainant, the Central probe agency said on Thursday.

The case has been registered against them on the basis of a complaint that HC was allegedly demanding undue advantage of Rs 5,000 from the complainant to extend favours for allowing stoppage of his buses in front of Anand Vihar Bus Stand.

It was also alleged that the bribe was to be delivered to a private person, CBI claimed.

CBI laid a trap and caught Head Constable alongwith said private person while allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from the a complainant.

Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused. Investigation is underway, it added
