Mumbai: Dec 8 – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Garrison Engineer for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1.10 lakh from the complainant, the agency said on Thursday.
The accused was working in the Office of Garrison Engineer, MES, Kota, Rajasthan.
According to the complaint, the accused was demanding an amount of Rs.1.50 lakh for passing the pending bills and also demanding Rs.10,000 for extension of the earlier tenders of the complainant.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting an amount of Rs.1.10 lakh as bribe.
