Pune, Oct 2 : On Sunday, Bridgestone India announced the winners of the third edition of the Mobility Social Impact Awards. This initiative is designed to acknowledge and celebrate innovative solutions that have a positive impact on the mobility landscape in India.
The award ceremony, held in the city, brought together industry leaders, innovators, and social change-makers. The recipients of the third edition of the Mobility Social Impact Awards are Nirman Bahuuddeshiya Vikas Sanstha from Pune, Vikasonmukh Sansthan from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and Navajeevan Organisation from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The winners were awarded a total prize money of Rs 30 lakh across three categories. Nirman Bahuuddeshiya Vikas Sanstha received the award in the road safety category for their efforts in raising awareness among various groups in Pune, including children, driver communities, police, and traffic police.
Vikasonmukh Sansthan was honored in the category of increasing access to resources for their exceptional work in livelihood generation through farm mechanization in Jaipur. Navajeevan Organisation emerged victorious in the category of ‘Mobility for Empowerment of vulnerable groups’ for their endeavors in promoting Safai Karamcharis, sanitation workers, and waste pickers as entrepreneurs, as stated in a press release.
