Vijayawada Dec 6 – Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji welcomed the decision of AICC of finalizing the name of A Revantha Reddy as Chief Minister of Telangana state.


In a statement here on Tuesday, Kolanukonda Shivaji welcomed the AICC’s decision of selecting Revantha Reddy for the Chief Minister’s post after consulting senior Congress leaders.


“AICC president Mallikharjun Kharge after taking majority legislatives opinion and consulting the senior leaders announced the name of Revantha Reddy for the Chief Minister’s post of Telangana state. The people of Telugu state have been anxiously waiting for the AICC’s decision since December 3,” Shivaji said.
Kolanukonda Shivaji thanked AICC president Mallikharjuna Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for taking the decision to make Revantha Reddy the Chief Minister of Telangana state.


Revantha Reddy being the Chief Minister of Telangana state will help to bolster the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, Shivaji hoped. He exhorted the Congress cadres in Andhra Pradesh to draw inspiration from Revantha Reddy and strive hard to strengthen the Congress in AP also in the next 100 days.
