Air Alliance Considers New Amritsar-Shimla Flight Starting Nov 15 Amid Delay Controversy

Shimla, Nov 2: Air Alliance is mulling a new Amritsar-Shimla flight from Nov 15, a top official disclosed on Wednesday.
The airline currently operates flights on Delhi-Shimla, Delhi-Manali, and Amritsar-Manali air routes in Himachal Pradesh.
Recently, Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched Amritsar-Manali Air alliance flight and announced to start new flights from Punjab’s Amritsar airport to Shimla.
Top Officials of the airlines confirmed that it had earlier given a tentative date of starting flight from Nov 2, but has now re-scheduled it to November 15 after seeking all clearances.
Shimla Airport, which remained without flights from 2008 to 2022, was brought back on the flight service map by the airline which has now committed to running two new services from Amritsar to Manali and on the Amritsar -Shimla routes.
Talking to UNI, AA top Officials said that it was still following the modalities and now the operation of another flight from international Amritsar is expected to start on November 15 after the end of the festival season.
Local media reports blamed the negligence of Tourism and Aviation Department, Airport Authority, and Alliance Air officials for the flight not starting from Wednesday
