Nagpur, Dec 19 – In response to persistent requests from MLC Satyajeet Tambe, Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant convened a meeting today, alongside the additional chief secretary, to discuss the establishment of Trauma Care Centres in Nashik and Ahmednagar. After the meeting, Sawant assured that a favorable decision would be reached before the conclusion of the winter session of the state assembly.

MLC Tambe had stressed the need for trauma care centres in Nashik and Ahmednagar following a recent highway accident that claimed the lives of four warkaris. Prompted by Tambe’s concerns raised in the state Legislative Council on Friday, Sawant took swift action, calling for an urgent meeting with authorities and officers. Tambe further urged that the construction of these care centres commence without delay.
