Nashik, Nov 9 : Two girls from Chinchvihir village drowned in an embankment and one was saved at Chinhvihir in Nandgsaon taluka of the district on Thursday.
According to Nandgaon police, the deceased were identified as Puja Ashok Jadhav (16), Khushi Devidas Bhalekar (16). Three young women from Chinchvihir in Nandgaon taluka went to the embankment to wash their clothes on the occasion of Diwali. Two of them drowned in the embankment.
Three young girls Puja Ashok Jadhav, Khushi Devidas Bhalekar and Kaveri Devidas Bhalekar from Chinchvihir in Nandgaon taluka went to wash their clothes on the occasion of Diwali on the Wagdari embankment. When some bystanders noticed that one of the girls was drowning, they saved Kaveri and took the other two out and admitted them to the Nandgaon Rural Hospital.
Dr Rathod declared both Pooja Ashok Jadhav and Khushi Devidas Bhalekar dead while Kaveri Bhalekar was sent to Malegaon for further treatment. Nangaon police registered the complaint as sudden death.
