Kangra, Dec 7 – A government Senior Secondary School lecturer who was found drunk on the school premises at Kothar Ranital was placed under suspension on Wednesday by the higher authorities of the education department.
Jatinder Singh Principal Government Senior Secondary School Kothar Ranital in Kangra district told UNI today that his school Government Senior Secondary School, Kothar Ranital in Kangra district witnessed a shaby and unfortunate incident when a Chemistry lecturer at the school identified as Virendr Kumar, a Chemistry lecturer at the school, entered the school in the morning hours in a drunken condition so much so the lecturer was not in a position even to move.
Principal said that the accused teacher entered the school gate and fell down on the stairs leading to the school and the school students were witnessing the scene.
He said that when the said teacher fell down in a bad way on the stairs was picked up by the students of the school to reach the chemistry laboratory. The said teacher was caught on camera and the principal came to know about the incident which was in bad taste and the principal issued a show cause notice and informed the higher authorities about the incident.
Jatinder Singh today said that the alleged lecturer was placed under suspension today by the higher authorities.
Local people alleged that the deterioration in ethical values was resulting in deterioration in cultural and ethical values of the young generation.
