Mumbai, Dec 6 – Maharashtra State Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 67th death anniversary, Mahaparinirvana Day on Wednesday.
City Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Mumbai Suburbs Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode, MP Rahul Shewale, MLA Ashish Shelar, Praveen Darekar, Sada Saravankar Kalidas Kolambakar, among several others, visited Chaityaboomi and offered floral wreaths to Dr B R Ambedkar’s statue.
On the occasion of Mahaparinirvana Day, dignitaries visited the photo exhibition organised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Public Relations Department. Senior officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation were present on this occasion.
Based on the life of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the book was published by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
The information booklet ‘Global footprints of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’ was gifted to the dignitaries.
Mumbai police and BMC have made arrangements to manage crowds and avoid any untoward incident on this occasion.
