Final Rites of CPI(M) Leader N. Sankaraiah Held with Full State Honours in Chennai

Chennai, Nov 17: The mortal remains of freedom fighter and veteran CPI(M) leader N. Sankaraiah was cremated on Thursday evening with full State honours.
After top political leaders of various parties and public and also communist comrades paid their homage at his residence and at the CPI(M) office, the final rites were performed at the Besant Nagar crematorium with a gun salute and the bugle sounding the last post.
Earlier several political leaders participated in his final journey.
Sankaraiah, who was a founding member of the CPI (M), died at a private hospital in Chennai, on Wednesday and the last rites were performed hailing his services by the left party cadres clad in red shirts and khaki pants, holding red flags.
