
Hyderabad, Nov 16: The Telangana police have seized assets valued at over Rs 577 crores since the enforcement of the model code of conduct for the Telangana Assembly polls scheduled on November 30, election officials said on Wednesday.
The seizures encompass cash, liquor, precious metals, drugs, and various freebies.
According to a press release from the Telangana Electoral Office, the police have confiscated cash amounting to Rs200,00,39,979, Liquor valued at Rs 88,81,85,407, Ganja and other drugs valued at Rs 32,64,39,084, Precious metals, including gold, silver, diamonds Various freebies such as laptops, vehicles, cookers, sarees, etc., with an estimated worth of Rs 2,55,85,59,776.
The cumulative seizures over the past 24 hours alone are estimated to be worth Rs 5,51,75,255.
