Mumbai, Nov 16 – A fire erupted in a two-story shop in Mumbai’s Byculla area on Wednesday, with no reported injuries and successful rescue of five individuals, according to a Fire Brigade official.
The incident occurred at 7:20 am at a shop on Sankli Street in Byculla West. The blaze extensively damaged footwear, leather stock, garments, household articles, and electrical installations in various sub-sections of the shop.
Upon receiving the alert, authorities dispatched at least nine fire engines to the location to contain and extinguish the fire. The rescue operation is currently underway.
