New Delhi, Nov 11 – Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is set to visit San Francisco from November 13 to 16 to attend meetings and ministerial programmes associated with the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Goyal will interact with US officials, academicians, and industry leaders during his visit to further strengthen economic and commercial ties between India and the United States.

The agenda includes the 3rd Individual IPEF Ministerial Meeting on November 13 and 14, where Goyal will review the progress of negotiations and hold bilateral meetings with the US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, trade negotiation representatives, and ministers of other IPEF participating countries.

Goyal will represent India at the IPEF Leaders Meeting and Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) and the IPEF Investor Forum meeting on November 16. Additionally, he will represent India at the APEC Economic Zone Representatives’ Meeting during November 15-16.

India has been invited as a guest economy at the 30th meeting of APEC economic leaders. The visit will focus on removing trade barriers, promoting investment, and enhancing cooperation in areas like technology and innovation.
