Badaun, Nov 10: A village head was hacked to death with an unidentified person with a sharp-edged weapon in Wazirganj area of Badaun district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a senior police officer said here.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) OP Singh said that the village head of Lakhanpur village Shiv Charan Lodhi was hacked with an axe while he was sleeping in the varandah of his house. “The family members of the deceased have raised suspicion on one Nanhe Lodhi, a resident of same village,” he said.
He said that on the complaint of Shiv Charan’s family a case was being lodged against Nanhe Lodhi. “The matter is being investigated and the teams have been directed to workout the case,” he said.
