Hyderabad, Nov 9: Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, alleged that BRS has been involved in a liquor scam and corruption.

He claimed that the entire nation is aware of the links between Aam Admi Party President and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and K. Kavitha, the daughter of BRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Choubey stated that no one can protect Kavitha in this case.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Ashwini Kumar Choubey emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it clear that those involved in the scam would be arrested, and no one could shield them. He alleged that both the Aam Admi Party and BRS were implicated in a liquor scam worth about Rs. 100 crore, with the Aam Admi Party receiving support from Kavitha in the Goa elections.

Choubey expressed concerns about the “Mission Bhagirath,” describing it as the biggest loot in the country. He claimed that Rs. 35,000 crore had already been spent, but the work was not visible, and people were struggling for water. Despite an increase to Rs. 50,000, the promises had not been fulfilled. He criticized the BRS for failing to meet its commitments and pointed out that Telangana had become the highest liquor-consuming state in the country, with liquor consumption standing at 43 percent.

Choubey stated that the burden on the people had increased five times, while the income of the Chief Minister had increased tenfold. He accused the government of neglecting education to facilitate rule by an iron fist, claiming that the government had taken the side of individuals instead of improving the lives of Dalits.

Referring to Dharani, the Minister stated that it had become a money-spinner for the ruling party leaders and suggested that it would be shut down once the BJP came to power, with the implementation of a land records system by the Centre.

Choubey informed that the Ministry of Environment had granted permission to the Yadadri and Bhadradri power plants within 15 days but questioned why they had not commenced operations yet. He recalled how former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had imposed the emergency and arrested people like him, asserting that the Congress had been against democratic values. Accusing the Congress of being the “C team” for BRS, he urged the people to vote for the BJP.
