Nashik, Nov 9: Goa-made foreign liquor worth over Rs 94 lakhs was seized by Maharashtra Excise Department personnel in Malegaon taluka of Nashik district on Wednesday, an official said.

The foreign liquor was seized by the excise personnel from an Eicher container, whose driver has been arrested.

According to the official, acting on secret information, the Malegaon Division Team of the State Excise Department started checking vehicles on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway. and intercepted the cargo vehicle from which the stock of foreign liquor and beer of various brands from abroad were seized. The driver Kamlesh Bharmal Ram was also arrested.

The officials found 900 boxes of foreign liquor and beer worth Rs 94.24 lakh. A case has been registered
