Mumbai, Nov 7 – Expressing serious concerns over the declining air quality in Mumbai ahead of Diwali, the Bombay High Court has taken decisive action by imposing a four-day ban on all construction activities. In a bid to address the escalating issue of air pollution, the court has issued a series of crucial directives.

As part of the comprehensive ban, all transportation of construction debris to and from construction sites is strictly prohibited. To curb particulate matter and dust emissions, the court has mandated that all construction materials must be transported using fully covered trucks or mixer plants. This directive underscores the court’s commitment to promoting environmentally responsible transportation processes.
