Hyderabad, Oct 23: Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, near Hyderabad, seized a total of 1093 grams of gold worth Rs 62.32 lakhs in two separate cases on Sunday.

In the first case, customs officials confiscated 610 grams of undeclared gold jewelry valued at Rs 32.84 lakhs from a passenger who arrived on a flight from Dubai, according to official sources.

The gold had been concealed in the passenger’s baggage.

In another case, customs officials seized 483 grams of undeclared gold, worth Rs 29.48 lakhs, from a passenger who arrived on a flight from Ras Al Khaimah.

The sources also noted that the gold had been concealed in the passenger’s baggage.
